The first #spawnwatch reports from across our region have started coming in! Make sure you let us know if you spot frogs, toads, or their spawn. @WTBBC have a handy form linked below, and you can send any other records to us via @EcoRecording or recordpool.org.uk 🐸🦎🐍

Have you spotted any spawn? Now's the time that frogs and toads will emerge from their winter hibernation and head straight to nearby ponds to breed! You can help us to monitor these key species by taking part in #SpawnWatch! Submit your sightings here: bbcwildlife.org.uk/Spawnwatch

A fantastic day at Pelsall Common today, huge thanks to everyone who came along and helped us 🦎🐸🦎 We spent a good few hours clearing young trees from important heathland habitat and added to a nicely developing brash heap. Another great BBCARG result 😁

Heathlands are essential habitats for reptiles and amphibians and if not managed carefully they can become shaded, with birch trees usually the first to arrive. Today we removed a good amount of young birch trees at @SuttonParkNNR to keep the habitat suitable for reptiles🦎
