"bench mark was used during the First Primary Levelling, England & Wales. It was included as a side level on the Liverpool to Spurn Head line as "No. 522(f). Bolt in South face of tower 2.37 ft. above surface. (p14)" at 39.993 feet above Liverpool datum" All Saints Church Preston

A barely visible arrow but remaining bolt saving the day on the parapet of the bridge on the Cam, Bridge Street, Cambridge. TL4471 5896. #benchmark
The most modern postbox I have ever seen for #postboxsaturday. This replaces one that was located nearby but was embedded in the wall of a house. Apparently the residents didn’t like this and their objections led to its replacement.
