@BKSunset

Ghim

@GovKathyHochul showed up to Sunset Park and not only used MLK legacy but also Sunset park community as pawns to push her conservative judge. And the worst part was she brought police with her and kicked out a respected, afro-latina leader who belongs to the church. #NoLaSalle

This is such a anti-semitic racist piece of drivel, filled with even soros bogeyman BS. how clueless are you @tabletmag to print this? Disgusting to see the word “savages” casually used. should be ashamed for printing this. Signed, “the Jews”

This butchers democracy and the notion of music. Stop this!

In honor of National Voter Registration Day tomorrow, the Broadway company of Hamilton headed into the booth to record “The Election of 2024”. We’re proud to partner with @WhenWeAllVote and @VoteRiders to make sure everyone’s voice is heard at the polls. Register to vote now!

She has actively negotiated to LIMIT child care funding in EVERY budget since becoming governor — including the one we're working on right now.

Years ago, I had to leave a job I loved because we couldn’t find childcare. Too many working parents still face that struggle today. Together with our partners in the @WhiteHouse, we’re taking action to expand access to childcare & give everyone a chance to succeed.

.@NYPDnews War on Working Families continues Each bag of clothing & toys represents a family falling into poverty as a result of your actions Shameful to celebrate criminalizing hard-working immigrants trying to make a living. Why don't you help vendors get a license instead?

Your feedback matters, and we heard you, Jackson Heights! Thanks to your input and with the support of the Community Response Team and Sanitation, we took action against unlicensed vendors on Roosevelt Avenue. Here are the items confiscated as a result.

Surprisingly honest take esp from MSNBC. The context of what’s happening in Palestine is so important and yet often in the US it’s not reported.

BREAKING: 1000+ people are hitting the streets in Wall Street in the pouring rain to demand that the banks stop financing fossil fuels. We’re in the belly of the beast and we’re about to shut it down. #ClimateShutDown #EndFossilFuels

Every single elected official in this city needs to step into housing court to see first hand how they have absolutely failed every single tenant in New York City after the Pandemic. It’s an absolute zoo in here. All these evictions will be in your hands.

“AI and stuff” has got to be the worst answer to how to deal with climate change. Totally doomed if people buy this.

Oh shit. Council members and tenants just burnished the stage to demand a rent decrease!

Exactly! If you rely on a trickle down reaganomics of housing you will just reproduce the same racist, classist capitalist housing system. it’s just doubling down on a rotten system. So if you believe housing is a human right, you shouldn’t be supporting Hochul’s housing compact.

Exclusionary zoning is rooted in a racist goal of keeping suburban communities wealthy and white. We should end it. But replacing those single family homes with market rate units and condos is just exclusionary zoning by another name.

Jeremy Kaplan đã đăng lại

What we need isn’t exclusionary zoning, inclusionary zoning, upzoning, downzoning, a zoning freeze, or no zoning at all. We need working class tenant power to abolish the real estate and private property. All this other mess is red herrings distracting us from the enemy.

Facts. And for those that don’t know or can’t read between the lines this is about a org thats entirely backing the Hochul developer friendly compact, that literally was written by this org. Socialist should not be associated with Hochul’s private market housing plan.

Any “grassroots” orgs funded and founded by the enemy (real estate capital, developers, landlords) aint never gonna have working class interest at heart. These orgs are here to pacify the growing working class tenant movement and preserve the status quo.

On the ground in Sunset Park. Local street vendor market place, Plaza Tonatiuh, is us de threat by NYPD and Sanitation. They have been unable to set up their vending booths on their 3rd annual opening.

Totally unacceptable, 72nd precinct needs to be held accountable. Sunset park is a street vending community, dozens of cops harassing ice cream vendor, one that’s always there, just unacceptable. There’s been years of police abuse of vendors, has to stop @NYCCouncil38 @MMitaynes

NYPD & NYC Parks cops were harassing a woman selling helados in the park in Sunset Park, Brooklyn earlier today. Organizers & vendors from Plaza Tonatiuh got in between the cops & the woman to protect her. Cops then grabbed someone, threw them to the ground, & arrested them.

First day this year for the plaza and this is how NYPD 72nd precinct respond, tons of cars/cops straight intimidating and trying to prevent any vending. Totally unacceptable, @NYCCouncil38 @MMitaynes @Sen_Gounardes @Iwen4NY this needs to stop, it’s harassment and abuse of power

This was the scene when I 1st arrived at the park in Sunset Park, Brooklyn this morning. Before Plaza Tonatiuh could be set up, NYPD & NYC Parks cops were there waiting to harass, ticket, &/or arrest any vendor who tried to set up a stand.

👇🏻👇🏻💯💯 This is spot on esp if i see anyone advocating for @GovKathyHochul Housing compact. Her plan is all market rate from private developers so why is anyone entertaining it who calls themselves a socialist.
