Time and again I meet people who don’t want all-or-nothing remote/in-person, or these rigid hybrid schedules. They want one thing: flexibility. And many organizations seem allergic to this, unfortunately. Flexibility = satisfaction = motivation = performance.
We don't need to be in the same place every day to bond and excel. 110 studies, 45k people: more time working remotely predicts slightly higher satisfaction & performance ratings—without relationship costs. The motivation benefits of flexibility outweigh the isolation risks.
You know Capitol Hill never loses power because when it does, all neighbors immediately report to their stoop to 1. Confirm they weren’t the only ones 2. Ask what the heck we do now
