Ms. Piñeiro’s Honors and Scholars students are celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month by sharing their country infographic projects! Each project highlights history, culture, and traditions from across the Spanish-speaking world.
Mrs. Mellows' ESL class honored Black History Month by recognizing the achievements and contributions of African Americans throughout history. Students commemorated these individuals by completing small biographies, highlighting their impact on American culture and society.

The BHS Italian Club participated in the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) Walk on November 6th at Liberty State Park. We raised $2,899.
Students in Ms. Fanous' reach class enjoyed learning how to write their names and short messages in hieroglyphics, learned about cultural recipes, and worked together in small groups to solve puzzles. @BayonneBOE @RobinsonSchool3

Ms. Pineiro's Spanish students are learning about the Mexican Day of the Dead tradition and celebrations. They are decorating "calaveras". @BayonneBOE
Mrs. Fernandez's students participated in the 2022 Fire Prevention Poster Contest. The theme was "Fire Won't Wait. Plan Your Escape". Students also created an evacuation plan where they marked two exit routes, locations of smoke detectors and a meeting location. @BayonneBOE
Ms. Pineiro's students participated in a "Hispanic Heritage Month Music Madness" bracket. Students were introduced to new songs every day, encouraging them to engage with the Spanish language and celebrate other cultures. This year was La Republica Dominicana won. @BayonneBOE
Students in Mrs. Orlando's Spanish class designed a postage stamp based on a country that could be part of a Hispanic Heritage stamp series with a brief description of their typical food, an artifact and typical dance of that country. @BayonneBOE
Students in the Bilingual Spanish Classes @RobinsonSchool3 celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by holding a Hispanic Heritage Fair for all students in the school. Everyone, children and adults alike, enjoyed learning about the Hispanic culture during the fair @BayonneBOE
Ms. Nally and Ms. Mollot's class at Lincoln School find sight words—while also doing their civic duty, smashing lanternflies—during a recent ELA card game activity @BayonneBOE
Mrs. Burns and Mrs. Ziza's third grade class at Washington Community School created self-portrait puppets following a study of the book "Frida Kahlo and Her Animalitos" by Monica Brown. @BayonneBOE
Ms. Elrahamawy's K/1 Bilingual class enjoyed learning how to use a microscope. @BayonneBOE @RobinsonSchool3
Mrs. Orlando’s Spanish 2 class. Students were able to log into hellosmart.com and send their descriptions of each other to the smart board for everyone to read. The students enjoyed reading about each other on a big screen. @BayonneBOE
Advanced ESL students in Mrs. Mellows' class have been reading Chapter books since September. Currently, they are reading "Ghost" and are eager to continue with this exciting reading journey. @BayonneBOE
