As a writer, author, how do you compensate/thank/appreciate your beta readers who help you with your mistakes, holes, and oversights? #writerscommunity

Haven’t tweeted in ages, but I do have a question for writers. Is volume per writing session most important to you? Or, quality? I write and edit as I go, but I see that many just “get it all down, en masse” #amwriting

Haven’t shared much from the kitchen and garden in awhile due to “life.”Anyway, sous-vide and seared salmon with wilted garden greens, shishito peppers, hazelnuts, balsamic and smoked salt. A side of homemade potato salad, and grapes from our garden.

In January, I wrote two pieces of micro-fiction during Hat Trick's final days. Losing the dog caused me to reflect on the duress that comes from making painful decisions. Darkness Sets Sail was published last week. This is Heart Of Traffic. 101words.org/heart-of-traff… via @101words

Since my mom and dog died, I’ve been channeling my grief and energy into writing flash fiction; incredibly, it's been getting published. The Apostate's Island was influenced by a Twitter encounter-you never know where ideas can come from. Thanks for the support #WritingCommunity

Some of you have reached out via DM to see if I'm still here. And to let me know you've missed my food and outdoors pics. Thank you. I've not left Twitter. But, I've been writing essays, and FB "seems to be" better for that. Two shots from the Mn River Valley. Thanks for the love

Can't sleep, so... thumbed through my pics to share a couple of fish dishes we've had for dinner over the past couple days. Salmon with a rice/shroom/greens and piquillo timbale + pickled carrot/pepper. Steelhead with cornbread and garden tomatillo sauce

This past weekend, the dishes were piling up, the yard needed raking, and there was nagging paperwork awaiting my attention. Instead, I went and walked in Wood-Rill to clear my head and fill my ears with the lovely sound of the leaves yielding to the Autumn winds. A few photos...

A nice early morning at Coldwater Spring. A complex place, spiritually, as it is an initial point of intersection between Native Americans and Traders along the Mississippi and Minnesota Rivers. The restoration started about 12 years ago. I find it stirring. I often leave humbled

My version of Past Isabella inspired by a dish at Scotti's on Upper Union St in Schenectady, NY. Sausage, garlic, onion, chard, Parm, and a twist of lemon. It was a dish I had with my dad many years ago. Just came to mind. Had to make it. The salmon cracklin was just a whim
