Greetings from the Baker Chamber of Commerce: The Tournament is scheduled for Friday, April 21, starting at 8:00 am and will be held at the BREC Beaver Creek Golf Course located at 1100 Plains-Port Hudson Road in Zachary, Louisiana 70791.
Lane Regional Medical Center officially began its $90 million dollar hospital expansion project. Demolition of the hospital’s west wing will make way for a new 82,000-square-foot, four-story patient tower. Work began with an official ceremony as demolition began.
The City Court of Baker and Baker City Court Judge Kirk A. Williams and Baker City Marshal Carl K. Dunn will provide an amnesty period for the entire month of February, 2023 to any Baker City Court defendant who has an outstanding bench warrant issued prior to February 1, 2023.
