Just home after Arcade Fire (long drive). AF pretty good, but very very crowded. And why do people have to keep coming and going so much?
Mumford and Sons set absolutely brilliant - huge audience really into it.
Beirut - very good. Unusual sound, east european influence (sort of), lots of horns and an accordian thing.
Rained heavily but only for a little while, then drizzle but now sunny again. 1st act Owen Pallet - OK but not thing.
In Hyde Park waiting for 1st support band at Arcade Fire concert. Nice and sunny so far.
Jon Bon Jovi looks infeasibly good and in great vocal form - especially as he did the whole set with a strapped up knee!
Bon Jovi at Bristol - good set, huge screen (whole of stage). Ggreat crowd involvement - so many hands in air!
Just left the Bon Jovi gig at Ashton Gate Bristol. Bit annoying that they started way ahead of published time, so missed a bit.
Just aplied for 2nd chance Olympics tickets - 2nd choice sports based on availability (handball, judo) but got to try to attend something.
Just back from watching Senna at the cinema - great film, great driver, sadly missed.
Rain turns to hail, some 3mm in diameter. Erasure start. After 2 songs the hail stops and then the rain clears too.
Last song of Dophies set and the rain starts. Waterproofs on, then it gets torrential. Then thunder and ligtningm
Nice picnic, though rather chilly and overcast. Sophie Ellis-bexter as support.
At Forestry Commission concert at Westonbirt Arboretum. Nice picncn
Just back from seeing Martha Tilston at Rook Lane Chapel in Frome. Beautiful voice, great set, nice venue. Good support by MoralesWatts. :)
