Here is the Battletech Center Pod Version 3 software! Look in the description of the archive for details on extrraction and notes. archive.org/details/vwe-re…

Amazing news! Tomorrow I will finally acquire Battletech Center backup tapes for archiving! I have the software all set up to archive the files on there off a DDS-1 Tape drive. Tapes are in the Retrospect archive format, and will contain various versions of the software. ->

Kinda working on reviving this project again. Progress has halted since my local source has gone AWOL. Current rights holders are decently far from me so I have to rely on them for stuff (which I’m very grateful for their cooperation)

Going to try to start this project up again. just need to get in contact with a few people for updates!

I think we all know where this is going. House Steiner sends their regards. Maybe they can use @VirtualWorldLLC Battletech pods for interface training

VirtualWorldLLC's tweet image. Almost there. @BatTechArchive @BATTLETECH_Game @ArtofBattletech @MW5Mercs

Still nothing to report on the archive. Schematics haven’t been scanned in yet, and the high-res imaging project hasn’t started due to a personal issue in my sources family. Don’t want to bother them while their grieving

Yeah, but it does it have a super weird and obscure networking architecture and video hardware that will make it harder to reverse engineer?!?!

Not much to report right now. Waiting for some third party scans to come in. Still need to catalog and upload some more stuff, but haven’t had time lately. Most of the important stuff I have is already archived

My wired internet is down at the moment, so no new uploads today, though I have some in the gun. Nothing too big though. Just some books and manuals and such

Thanks for helping us out as well! And thanks for lending us your assets for preservation! If you need any equipment, just let us know!

Preserving VR history is getting harder, but we will not quit. We are currently repairing components for our US and Japanese operators. We are also working with our public communities to share resources and knowledge. We’re not dead yet.
