So sad to see Abby go, she really is fabulous - this is an extremely important role so please share

After a challenging, immensely rewarding couple of years I’m leaving LFB to make the leap into the health sector! There is therefore an ace opportunity to join the @LondonFire Inclusion Team - happy to chat to anyone interested. jobs.london-fire.gov.uk/jobs/strategic…

It’s thought more than 15% of people in the UK are neurodivergent. Borough Commander Martin Corbett is chair of our Dyslexia and Neuro Diverse support group. As part of #NeurodiversityCelebrationWeek he’s sharing his own experience

Love this from Humberside. The LFB are hosting a series of lunch time events this week too. Learning about neurodiversity could help us support people in the community, colleagues, friends and family and even spark awareness about ourselves 💜

Let’s celebrate difference this #NeurodiversityCelebrationWeek Let’s stop focusing only on what we cannot do and start to recognise and nurture the many strengths and talents of being neurodiverse. 👉Neurodiversity-Celebration-Week.com #Dyslexia #Dyspraxia #Autism #ASD #ADHD #OCD #Diversity

📢 Know a young person aged 14-17 interested in joining @LondonFire #cadets#YoungLondoners 🔻

We have now opened 15 brand new Fire Cadets units, meaning there's now a unit open in every #London borough. Over 100 new cadets have already joined the programme to develop new skills, make new friends and gain a qualification all within their local area orlo.uk/YSuoV

We’ve opened the station door to a # of people frightened, lost or unwell; comforted gentleman with dementia & got him home, helped someone having a mental health crisis get to hospital, deescalated domestic situations, given 1st aid, helped men & women being followed #safeplace

My 2nd tweet is about being a woman & what that actually means. I’ve been devastated by current news & discussions. But also surprised by the # of men actually asking us about our experiences, what they can do to alleviate our anxieties & be part of the solution. I have hope.

Hazards to firefighters' health don't stop when a fire is extinguished, but with your help, we can save lives If you're a firefighter who has or is suffering from a serious illness, register with the Firefighters Cancer and Disease Registry 👉 lght.ly/dili115

My first work related tweet, tried to avoid social media like this because people can be unkind but avoidance just increases invisibility. My deep affection for all the people I work with and the communities we serve is still with me almost 20 years into this job I love.

On #InternationalWomensDay we're sharing how we #ChooseToChallenge gender bias and inequality - and celebrating our female colleagues, including Station Officer Serena Benassi
