Wish I had known this before I was married! Learned it the hard way though.

If each spouse says to the other, "I will treat my selfishness as the main problem in the marriage," you have the prospect for great things.

We have overcome. We have overcome. By the blood of the lamb, And the Word of the Lord, We have overcome.

Felt an abasing sense of my own impurity and unholiness; and felt my soul melt and mourn, that I had abused and grieved a very gracious God, who was still kind to me, notwithstanding all my unworthiness.

Preacher, it is okay if you are not hip, cool, or smooth. You are a herald of the gospel, not the manager of a brand. Who cares if they are not impressed with you? Your job is to point them to Jesus!

Man, @adamramsey_ wiped me out with this one. I’ll just shuffle back to my empty nest and sob for a bit.

The way to grow rich in grace is to feel your poverty. When you have nothing at all in yourself, then Christ is all in all to you. Spurgeon

A few broken sentences from a broken and contrite heart are more desirable than to pray for hours without spiritual feeling. Newton

Godly fear casts out being afraid. But neither is it a cool, passionless regard of God. Believers who have a godly fear tremble before God.

Grateful for this.

When we've said all we can say of the abounding of sin in us-grace still more abounds in Jesus. We cannot be so evil as he is good.

I can point to my mom and say........indeed.

Some of the greatest and most fruitful heroes of the faith are those mothers who quietly, unobserved, day after day, pray for their children.

My pastor/friend is doing a phenomenal job leading @GraceCityILM. Thank you @markkprater for praying him and our church!

Join me in praying for Joshua Earl @joshuaearl_ and Grace City Church in Wilmington, NC @GraceCityILM asking God to give them opportunities to share the gospel in their community.

Indeed it is....

There are abominations which, like nests of vipers, lie quietly within, till the rod of affliction rouses them.

Thanks @PastorCroft, this is encouraging starting out as a church planter where things are moving very slow.

As my ministry at our church came to an end last month after 17 years, the average attendance/ membership over those 17 years was 75-85. Our annual budget was $110,000 - $120,000. Pastors, don’t ever let someone determine the value of your ministry on numbers and money.

Indescribable! Amazing.

Very helpful, and a good reminder. Thanks @drmoore

I write not to remind you of what you have lost, but of what you have which you cannot lose.
