Everyday I live with the recurring frustration as I battle insurance companies, the government and the patients themselves that erroneously believe that #obesity is self-inflicted and therefore people with this disease are not worthy or entitled to be treated. This must change.

People with #obesity are at a disproportionate risk for a variety of conditions and diseases, including high blood pressure, COVID-19, and some types of cancer. A recent study adds a new risk to that list: stroke, especially in people younger than 50. bit.ly/3pFUhAW
