Bomb shelters are horrific. So is having your neighborhood erased and your family killed. When Israelis insist only their fear counts and everyone else’s suffering is disposable, it’s no wonder much of the world has stopped listening—and stopped caring—about what Israelis say.
I spent 2 weeks in a bombshelter as a civilian in a residential neighborhood. That wasn't deterrance. That was a war crime.
