Swimming through the night I had 2 big fish circling round me for 3 hours, I believe they were protecting me. Lots of jelly fish and a few of stings, but nothing beat the pain of the wind & tides as I fought against them the whole swim. It still doesn’t feel real!
Can not believe we just did that! 🏴➡️🇫🇷 Powered by parmo’s and true northern grit I made it to France in 14 hours and 8 mins. I say we because it was a team effort. Without James, Jo, Liam, the pilots Andy and James I would not have made it onto French land.

I was in Yarm today to see first-hand how our Levelling Up Fund is kickstarting local projects. I met business owners and residents to learn how £20 million of investment will transform the town hall, create new outdoor seating & support the nearby village of Eaglescliffe.
My work with @DicconEdwards and @AlexStacey1 @uk_sport around gender representation in coaching has this time culminated in the creation of evidence-based infographics - the aim is to raise awareness and dismantle biases. Supported by home nations including @_UKCoaching, @cimspa
