Suicide is the leading cause of death for Americans aged 10 to 34. If you or someone you know struggles with suicidal thoughts, dial or text 9-8-8 to speak with a trained crisis counselor.

Why do Republicans want to force a 10-year-old girl who was raped to carry her rapist’s fetus to term? 🤨

Some days you feel stronger than others and that’s okay. Some days I feel strong and confident, like I have it all together. But other days I feel much less confident. Some days I feel flawed and vulnerable. But in spite of all my flaws, I am enough and so are you. #StopSuicide

Understanding breaks stigma. If we’re willing to talk publicly about suicide, and embrace the conversation as a public health issue, it will help to take away the shame and encourage healing. Instead of being afraid to talk about suicide, we should be afraid not to. #StopSuicide

Just because someone is 'high functioning' & appears 'tough on the outside' It doesn't mean internally they are not struggling with their mental health They often fear stigma & so they conceal their difficulties & suffer in silence

When we talk about mental health we help to destigmatize it.

Bethany Heinesh reposteó

A person contemplating suicide reaches out for connection, in the way they know how to. It’s not always in a way we recognize. We need to learn other ways to see people & recognize pain. It starts with ending the stigma surrounding suicide & openly talking about it. #StopSuicide

When communities come together to prioritize mental health, more people have the potential to thrive.

We envision a world where all people living with mental illness thrive.
