Just about set for my trip to Vegas. Excited to go to my first #MCVegas, see my friends again, and have some fun in town!
Last #mtg EDH game: - P1 makes 200+ spirits - P2 resolves Fumigate, gains 200+ life - P3 (Me) clones Avenger of Zendikar 4 times, adding 500 power to the board - P1 resolves Inkshield after a full swing - P3 could cast K Leviathan to reset, but concedes instead.
There's been a lot of broad finger-wagging at the community for being toxic. Can we get actual consequences for individuals responsible? Bans from social media likely too great an ask but bans from Magic events would be a good start. #mtg
Can we just not have a rules committee for EDH? Leave it in the hands of players and individual play groups, acknowledge the pre-2024 banlist, and maybe stop designing bad cards going forward? #mtg #edh

I'm fine with this. Dockside needed to go. Rule 0 convo's I've had rarely discussed fast mana as opposed to oppressive play styles. Crypt/Lotus weren't common bc they were price prohibitive so I don't think their bans will be as impactful. Probably should have done Sol Ring, too

Mulligan'd 8 times at a 3 round limited FNM, which seems about my average now. Feels bad consistently losing games before the first card is played. #mtg
New Beetlejuice movie was very "sequel-y". A lot of funny moments, at least, thanks to Catherine O' Hara and (surprisingly) Justin Theroux.
Look, WOTC's priorities have been clear for years now: maximize profits by pushing out an absurd amount of sets and products with Commander bearing 90+% of the design consideration. I have to imagine design team is overworked and often overruled by non-design executives. #mtg
A lot of this year has been a fever dream for me, but it's still kinda wild that I won a Lorcana store championship after losing round 1 in the Swiss and being last seed in top 8. Just need that kind of luck to spill over into my financial and love life and I'll be set.

#MTGBloomburrow Prerelease. Went 1-2 with a decent GW "makin' babies" deck with free splashes on some rares. Lots of synergy in the set and way more early plays.
