This paper shows the role of FoxP1 as a key regulator of MEF2A in striated muscle and cardiomyocytes. Specifically, FoxP1 that interacts with and represses MEF2A activity in myogenic cells, delaying muscle differentiation and preventing hypertrophic growth.
