Janet Emerson Bashen is the founder and CEO of the Bashen Corporation. She is the first African American woman in the United States to hold a software patent. Bashen’s patented invention, LinkLine, is an equal employment opportunity case management and tracking software.
Mary Winston Jackson was an African American mathematician and aerospace engineer at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). NASA the agency’s headquarters building in Washington, D.C., will be named after Mary W. Jackson, #blacksintechomaha
