It would take me far too long to fully or justifiably rank the films which have moved me most profoundly. Yet, I'm not sure that in recent years anything has devastated me quite as thoroughly as Charlotte Wells' Aftersun. Beautiful but agonising Cinema.

Saw X: Quickfire Review available at blogfatherreviews.co.uk/2023/10/12/qui… now. Saw X is a Saw film for Saw fans and I mean that in the most endearing of ways. Thankfully, this latest blood-soaked arrival drops the franchise’s obsession with convoluted lore and marks a return to basics.

It Lives Inside: Quickfire Review available at blogfatherreviews.co.uk/2023/10/12/qui… now. Another solid 2023 Horror effort which slightly struggles to reach that next echelon of quality. Somewhere between this, Talk To Me and The Blackening, there's got to be a real classic on the way soon.
