A West Virginia native, Warner led the Lions in rushing in '80 '81 & '82 & helped PSU capture its 1st national title in the '83 Sugar Bowl
A two-time All-American at PSU, Warner was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the first round of the '83 NFL Draft.

For the record, the Nittany Lions tied the Wissahickon Army Barracks 6-6 in 1918. And got creamed by the Steelton YMCA, 6-5, in 1902.

Incidentally, '90 was the year JVP said "as long as I'm healthy & enthusiastic I'll coach until I'm 70." JVP turned 70 in Dec. '96.
