For obvious reasons, I don’t expect an answer to this question. But… Does X really work in a positive way for anyone anymore? Or is it a place that only generates negative comments or no response at all to legitimate conversation? Is it worth the effort anymore?

I love well written crime fiction, especially in series format. I just discovered Phillip Thompson's Sheriff Colt Harper series via this latest addition. Love the characters & plotting, and now I'm hooked. Starting book 1 soon. @BrashBooks #bookblogger bookchase.blogspot.com/2023/12/not-de…
Coming December 5! "The Fourth Rule" is book is Jeff Lindsay's fourth Riley Wolfe novel, a fun ride of a thriller, that I had a lot of fun reading. Wolfe is a master thief who prides himself on the impossible job. This time he's after the Rosetta Stone. bookchase.blogspot.com/2023/11/the-fo…

As the Booker Prize 2023 shortlist is announced, we’ve pulled together the most interesting facts and trends that have emerged in this year’s selection
Craig Johnson's "The Longmire Defense" is exactly the Walt Longmire Series novel that longtime fans have been wishing for for a while now. This is a real comfort read for me, and now I can't wait for book number 20. bookchase.blogspot.com/2023/11/the-lo… #BookTwitter #bookbloggers
It's publication day for "Intercessions" by Kathleen Eull ( @pyxics ). This is a literary crime novel that I really enjoyed, and it's one I still think about a month after having read it. bookchase.blogspot.com/2023/10/interc… And what a great cover that is...right?

At 643 pages, Paul Murray's The Bee Sting requires a real commitment on the part of readers, but is definitely worth the effort. This one is shortlisted for the 2023 Booker Prize and it just may take it home. For review: bookchase.blogspot.com/2023/11/the-be… @TheBookerPrizes #BookBlogger
Elliot Ackerman's "Halcyon" is a fascinating alternate history look at what the world may have been like if Al Gore had won the 2000 election and funded certain genetic research. Definitely makes the reader think. bookchase.blogspot.com/2023/11/halcyo… #bookbloggers #BookTwitter
"Hanging the Devil" is Tim Maleeny's 6th Cape Weathers novel, but the thriller works great for new readers as a standalone. Lots of fun, lots of action, and characters that make you laugh out loud at their audacity. I need to read the earlier books now. bookchase.blogspot.com/2023/11/hangin…
Chetna Maroo's "Western Lane" is one of my favorites in this year's Booker Prize nominations list. Great novel about personal grief among siblings & their father. bookchase.blogspot.com/2023/11/wester…
Publication Day! William Ryan's WWII thriller The Constant Soldier is available today. The story of a man only even in the German army in order to avoid his own arrest for political activism. An especially poignant story today... Review: bookchase.blogspot.com/2023/08/the-co… #BookTwitter
Publication day! Brian Kilmeade's look at the special relationship that developed between Teddy Roosevelt and Booker T. Washington just when it was most needed to heal America's early 20th century racial divides. #BookTwitter @bookblogger Review here: bookchase.blogspot.com/2023/09/teddy-…
Started reading Paul Murray's "The Bee Sting" this morning. It's a whopper at 642 pages, but the @TheBookerPrizes nominee is so beautifully written that it reads quickly. Love Murray's style...now wondering why this is my first time to read him. Could kick myself.
Tim Maleeny's "Hanging the Devil" will be published on November 14. Started it two days ago & what a nice surprise it's been. A new series to me, but I can already tell that Cape Weathers is a hoot & his partner a mini-superhero. A laugh-out-loud thriller. Loving it. @PPPress
