This morning, we’re celebrating the life of Michael Strahan’s father Gene Willie Strahan who will be laid to rest today. Our thoughts are with his family during this time.

At approximately 6:45 Boston Fire divers rescued a fisherman who was trapped in the current clinging to the pier at Beads bridge in Dorchester. The fisherman was in approx 8 to 10 feet of water for about 20 minutes before being rescued and suffered minor injuries.

Heartbreaking update to #BostonsBravest today. Rich Paris with @BostonFire @LOCAL_718 lost his own brother this week, Eddie Paris, a fellow #Boston firefighter. He was diagnosed with stage 4 occupational cancer in Sept. He died this week. Tonight we share his legacy.
