Since #WomensBoxing matches are unjustly limited to 10 2-min rounds, there’s a glaring lack of exposure. So #TaylorSerrano & #ShieldsKozin only have a max ring time of 20min vs. 36min for males! Even @jakepaul-@twoodleyufc were provided more ring time (24m) than ANY female champ!
Despite recent efforts to clean up their act, @WBABoxing inserted the completely untested Jonathan Guidry (BoxRec #256) as their 13th ranked contender for no apparent reason, displacing @joeboxerparker & @TonyYoka. So, expect Guidry in a #WBA title fight shortly. #boxing
Today @WBABoxing stated “The Championships Committee decided that all Interim Championship titles are withdrawn with immediate effect.” If actually true, this is a good 1st step in fixing the mess they created. Hopefully the bogus Regular and Gold titles are next! #boxing #wba

Promoter @BobArum finally pushes for #EqualRights for #WomensBoxing. “When you look at women’s boxing, what does it lack?…It’s only two-minute rounds...We have to lobby the commissions to allow women to fight three-minute rounds. There is no earthly reason it shouldn’t be done.”

This headline points to one of the universally-reviled facts of modern #boxing, there are way too many “world champions”, approximately 3.9 per division (ignoring the infinite assortment of minor league titles)! This confuses fans & dilutes their purpose. worldboxingnews.net/2019/09/30/box…
The scandalous @WBABoxing & its chief goon @GilberticoWBA are once again breaking their promise to the sport of #boxing for unnecessarily creating yet another BS interim title at 122lbs between their #2 & #5 contenders, disrespecting the #DannyRoman vs @TjDoheny unification bout!
Last year the #WBA’s @GilberticoWBA said “Today we have 8 divisions with only one champion and we are going to keep on that same line, because that was a promise that I made.” However, since this lie @WBABoxing has continued its embarrassment of #boxing & proliferation of titles!
The most practical step for keeping #boxing titles unified (shy of actually unifying the organizations themselves) would be for the sanctioning bodies to work together closely to (1) strongly encourage unifications, and (2) collaborate on a single mandatory for unified champs.
