I have struggled to compose anything on this, as I have struggled to compose myself. Safe to say, my thoughts are with Ben’s family and friends, and everyone in our wider cricket community who will be desperately sad and hurting. Hug your kids, your partner and friends.

And so it begins again. We must never underestimate how much work volunteers do (supported of course by the infrastructure provided by state and federal bodies) to enable our kids to have fun, follow their dreams, and hang out with their buddies.
Everything is in shape 🤞 for the start of a new cricket season. 248 teams (10% + growth on 24/25) will take the field, from Croydon to Narre Warren, Mulgrave to Hampton, Toorak to Williamstown. Good luck all. Massive work from a huge volunteer crew across clubs. Have fun.
