OTD in 1855 a Sunday School teacher visits the Holton Shoe Store in Boston to visit a difficult student. Edward Kimball tells DL Moody of the love of Christ and shortly thereafter, Moody is converted and devotes his life to God, later becoming a great evangelist & leader.
OTD in 1912 Lottie Moon died in Japan while attempting to return under poor health. In 1913 the Foreign Mission Journal of @IMB_SBC reported on her death the month before. “She labored on bravely whether alone or surrounded by her coworkers.”

If you are a church leader, what @JoWiKi is talking about here needs to be considered. Think outside the box in terms of facilities, cooperation, and even employment of staff.
I’m beginning to think Church Centers are a strategy we should consider in certain parts of the country. Take a large existing church campus create an org to own the property and maintain it. House multiple complimentary autonomous churches…1/2

Waiting for the Lord’s direction often leads us to take matters into our own hands. We hear the clock ticking and fear time is running out or that somehow we have misinterpreted His leading. “Unbelief is always in a hurry.” - Spurgeon
