Thinking what it was about @rachelheldevans that could cause many on other sides of issues to take their hats off to her in her death. People are run rife with grief for her babies, yes. But also I think part of it is that, in an era of gross hypocrisy, she was alarmingly honest.

God put shepherds in charge of guarding the sheep. Not the other shepherds. At what point have we seen enough misuse of authority surface publicly to drop us to our faces in repentance, to quit empowering the powerful & protecting the protected and start guarding the vulnerable?
With the most measured words I know how to use, I wish to calmly and simply say that it is a most grievous error to know better and not do better. I know this from the Scriptures. I know this from personal experience. God will not be mocked. We are held responsible for knowledge.
