We have been working on various ways to address this ever since it happened the first time. Our long term solution is most likely going to be fast modular AOT compiler with an interpreter fallback for hot reload.

I guess my question is: why reinvent the wheel? Compose is open source. If there are any deficiencies from your perspective, would it not be more pragmatic to contribute open source fixes to Compose?
github.com/dart-lang/pub/…

Re: #1250 With this proposal you can use a git repo as a versioned package repository. For example write: dependencies: foo: git: url: https://github.com/foo/foo tag_pattern: v{{v...
Well, android platform views are one of the major pain points in Flutter, not because we don't know how to call Java code, but because of various limitations and bugs in the compositor. Now there is a decent way to do it, but it requires API level 34. Hence my interest.
Here me out: Flutter but without the flutter part. Basically just dart sdk + minimal code to run root isolate on platform thread. Tooling to build and run on all platforms (JIT/AOT, just like Flutter). Native assets support. Want UI? Make your own dart package + FFI.
