Ok. Deep breath. I think we may look back on this as the first Great Information War. Except we're already 8 years in. The first Great Information War began in 2014. The invasion of Ukraine is the latest front. And the idea it doesn't already involve us is fiction, a lie. 1/

Repeatedly now, asked by politicians and journalists, the government has refused to reveal what it has been warned about the number of deaths and hospitalisations to expect after opening up fully on July 19th. You have to ask yourself why, because they won't answer.

Woke up with a wild idea racing through my mind: why don't we join the EU?! Maybe it's nuts, maybe it's a lightbulb moment. Might at least be worth considering. After all, as EU members, we could expect to enjoy... 1. Unfettered access to the largest trade block in the world

An extremely striking graphic, showing 2017 election results for English constituencies against their position on the index of multiple deprivation. One to wheel out when you encounter that bizarre media talking point of Labour somehow being the party of a “liberal elite”.

6,085,174 people signed the petition to revoke article 50. Nobody took any notice. 5,248,533 people voted for the Brexit Party. These are apparently The People whose will must be followed unquestioningly.

Which "Leave" did ALL 17.4 million people vote for? Was it WTO Brexit? Was it Canada FTA Brexit? Was it Norway Brexit? Was it Malthouse A Compromise Brexit? Was it Malthouse B Compromise Brexit? Which "Remain" did ALL 16.1 million people vote for? The one defined in the Treaties

My son's a little worried that Santa may skip our house because he was sometimes bad this year. I explained that Santa uses an exponentially weighted moving average to compute your goodness score, so more recent datapoints dominate and he's probably fine.
