Ridley Scott makes questionable choices sometimes, but he's absolutely right about Blade Runner ending on Deckard and Rachel stepping into the elevator to face their uncertain future together. That's peak noir, the kind 2040 severely lacked.
Henry Jones Sr. was absolutely based, and right about every geopolitical view he states here. I could never imagine Disney even thinking of writing anything like this.
