At tonight’s company meeting, we proudly recognized Colleen Fullone for her 5 years of service with the BBFD. Colleen has become an integral part of our department, stepping up as a valued member and serving as the Assistant Treasurer Thank you, Colleen, for all you do!

NEWS FROM THE BUSHNELL’S BASIN FIRE DEPT. In the month of December 2024, the Bushnell’s Basin Fire Department responded to 43 calls for assistance. The BBFD responded to a total of 469 calls for service to the community in 2024 all done by volunteers.
BBFD wishes everyone a Happy and Safe New Year
BBFD responded to a car fire near a home. Upon arrival 312 found a car engulfed in flames in front of the garage. The fire was quickly extinguished before causing significant damage. There were no injuries, and the home was spared from major loss.
BBFD presented David Patt with his exempt papers last night. Thank you for your five years of service, David!

Tonight, while on their way to a fill in, BBFD engine 312 came upon a motorist with a flat tire, the crew quickly jumped into action to help the motorist change their tire and get off the roadway safely!
This afternoon, around rush hour, the BBFD responded to RT. 490 for the car vs tractor trailer MVA, luckily only minor injuries were reported. Crews assisted with traffic control, securing vehicle hazards, and scene cleanup.
The Bushnells Basin Fire Department hosted an FF1 class at our station this year. This is the introductory training every firefighter in NYS receives. Thanks to everyone who helped facilitate this training; congratulations to all the new firefighters!
Our fire department remembers the fallen heroes and reflects on the values of service and sacrifice that guide our daily work in protecting the community. Today, we honor the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives for our country.
