Yesterday morning I found out the worst news in my 24 years of life. I have been diagnosed with testicular cancer. Just like any challenge I have faced in life, I’m going to face it head on, beat it and become a stronger person throughout the process.
Every obstacle is an opportunity to get better.

Kevin and I wore multiple #’s throughout our careers. The only common # was 27. My career peaked in HS when I threw 90mph. Kev hit most of his HR’s and peaked at BenU. Since his passing, I have noticed more 27’s randomly. This is how I know he is still with me in spirit. #27

At the time, this picture felt so random. But it makes sense, other than the holidays I don’t remember the last time all 6 of us just hung out. This memory was the last time we all shared stories, jokes and laughs together. 62 days later…. The void is real, and unexplainable.
This card & message really caught my attention. The poem allowed me to see death in a different way. I do believe that Kevin is still with us in a way that is beyond our understanding. And, eventually we’ll see Kev on the other side, & it’ll feel as if we haven’t skipped a beat!
