This week marks #MentalIllnessAwarenessWeek. An estimated 450 millions people worldwide are living with #mentalhealth issues, and #ClimateChange looks likely to increase these numbers dramatically.

This week is #MentalIllnessAwarenessWeek. In 2011, just over 230,000 people reported having a mental health condition. The oldest age group saw the highest proportion, with 10.2% of people aged 85 and over having a mental health condition. More here: ow.ly/pOo230m5ULI

New terms are emerging all the time to describe some of the #mentalhealth impacts of #climatechange. These include #ecophobia, #ecoanxiety, and #solastalgia, as well as #compassionfatigue, #recoveryfatigue and #pretraumaticstressdisorder. Are there others to add to the list? 🗒️
