Ben you couldn’t be more correct. Covered him here as the interim for Fresno State when Jeff Tedford stepped down. Overall finished 7-7 (1-1 bowls) but more than his record, he had strong support from players, former players and coaches. The man deserves a head coaching job.

Coaches getting fired and hired all over college football. I’m glad Josh Heupel is in Knoxville and staying in Knoxville. He’s been a head coach eight years (73-27). He’s still evolving. Part of that process is recognizing when changes/tweaks are needed. Let’s see what’s next.

Another major component of Josh Heupel putting this Penn State nonsense to bed: Timing. Early signing period is coming, staff members are out on the recruiting trail, the portal… Players need to know there is stability at the top. Josh took care of that. End of story.
I’ve been saying this since it was first floated. Pure nonsense. Said it on three different radio programs including my own. When you see a rumor, at a minimum make a judgment based upon where you’re reading it/hearing it first.
