When i contacted T-Mobile about this, their explanation was that Verizon re-locked my phone and I would have to contact them. Does anyone else smell bullshit? What can I do here? Both carriers appear to be breaking the law.

This was the last straw. So I switched to T-Mobile. But then suddenly I lost all cell service and got a notice that my phone was not connected and that the line was not registered to any carrier.

When i went to add Verizon wireless home internet to my mobile phone service, the agents at the Verizon store got so upset when i insisted that i actually read the terms and conditions that they canceled the transaction, threw me out of the store, and threatened to call the cops.
