Really proud moment for our Y12 A Level Art students. They’ve been involved in a project to design artwork for the interior and exterior of the new Northumbria Health and Care Academy in Cramlington, and today they got the chance to see their work in person. It looks amazing!
Just a few of the stunning flower photos taken today by some of our Y9 students, who have opted for GCSE photography next year. Looking forward to seeing their photos printed out large and exhibited in Manor Walks shopping centre, as part of the Britain in Bloom campaign.

Some really beautiful work by our Year 7 students for their first house art competition, inspired by castles in Northumberland. Such a wide range of media and techniques too! Huge well done to everyone who submitted an entry-you should be very proud of your artwork.
Our school has introduced a new house system this year based on our local castles in Northumberland, and we’re hitting the ground running with this exciting art new challenge for Y7 and Y8. We’ve already had some brilliant entries and are really looking forward to seeing more!
We managed to dodge the rain yesterday and took more than 300 of our Y7 students outside for some en plein air painting. Students then added their own poems on top of the images using Pixlr. Brilliant collaboration between our Art & English depts,and students absolutely loved it!
