Five years ago, the @WHO declared #COVID19 a global pandemic. As great swaths of the world locked down, hospitals became burdened by a rapidly spreading illness, and #CDNhealth was irrevocably changed. Here's a look at what we've learned since then. bit.ly/3DEKAOr

Earlier this week I participated in the @CMA_Docs's Federal Election Town Hall. I shared some data and insights that are now available for everyone to see. Healthcare is a top issue in Canada. It's driving a scarcity mindset. #cdnpoli #healthcare #scarcity #mindset

This could get buried in all of the (mostly depressing) news out there but it’s really terrific. Outpatient prescription coverage has been the biggest gap in Canadian healthcare. And it’s ALSO great that HRT is added as well, medically that’s a very sound priority.

The country is currently short 22,283 family physicians. We need to be doing everything we can to increase those numbers. More from CMA President @jossreimer in @CBCNews: cbc.ca/news/canada/th…

The CMA is pleased to see that @GovCanHealth has signed its first pharmacare agreement. This is a positive start, but there's still work to be done. Every Canadian deserves access to the medications they need – regardless of their ability to pay. Let's maintain this momentum 👏

Today, we announced the first national pharmacare agreement with Manitoba. Every Manitoban will get access to the contraception, hormone replacement therapy and diabetes medications they need. This is about building a stronger, healthier Canada.
