getting better with words and describing my emotions has been a double edged sword. yes i can more accurately describe how i feel or think, but it also looks pretty decimating when i say something is bad
i have so much bitterness over the fact that women are only allowed to be pretty and sexual and pleasant, that they're only allowed one dimension of existence. men get to be smart, stupid, athletic, ugly, violent, commanding. women are limited to palatable.
u rly have to see whiplash as a hustle/grind/workaholic abusive movie. the fact that it's about music or drumming is just the vehicle.
Watching this movie I could tell it was well-made, but I feel like it's really hard to enjoy this one if you're involved in music education in any way. Like I have no problem accepting other fictional worlds but when the fiction involves my own field I become a dweeb about it
