Our Commission was proud today to help celebrate the 30th anniversary of @CalgaryPolice's HAWCS helicopter program. Calgary was the first city in Canada to adopt police helicopters after Constable Rick Sonnenberg was killed while trying to stop a stolen vehicle in 1993. #yyc
Our Commission today is remembering and honouring all the police and peace officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty. We will forever be grateful to them all, especially the 12 @CalgaryPolice officers who have fallen while protecting our community. #yyc #police

FIVE! That’s how many drivers just one unit in District 8 has stopped so far tonight for excessive speed on Stoney Tr. The speeds recorded for each of the five vehicles were: 160, 160, 195, 170 & 170 These speed come with a mandatory Court date & possible license suspension.
