Fuck this. For anyone who needs it, here's the Solid Color guide as a PDF that I use to send to my clients. Download this and keep it on your desktop for easy reference. graphicsport.com/Pantone%20Char…

Fun times ahead for #Adobe designers. Today, if you open a PSD (even one that's 20 years old) with an obscure PANTONE colour, it will remove the colour and make it black. Pantone want US$21/month for access, and Solid Coated goes behind the paywall in early November.

I don't think enough has been made of the discovery that Google's funding of AMP was an explicitly anti-competitive move designed to limit competition from other ad exchanges and what enormous damage this does to Google's credibility with developers:

A screw it, let's do it: TL,DR: AMP format doesn't support JavaScript in the way you can use it on regular web pages. This prevents publishers from using header bidding with AMP (limits how many ad exchanges one can connect to @ a time, making it less desirable/useful; see doc)

Own your distribution. If you write online, focus on these two platforms: 1) Email 2) Websites Remember AOL? Remember MySpace? Remember Yahoo? Companies come and go but your email list and personal website will still be valuable in 10 years. Invest in the long-term.
