Great to see this in print, well done Kayleigh 👏👏 @ResearchWales @cancer_wales
Many thanks for highlighting the @CRaFT_study evaluating #Ramanspectroscopy and FIT for symptomatic colorectal cancer detection. Overwhelming support from patients and healthcare providers. Big thanks to Julie Hepburn and Ian Hill as PPI partners 👏 👏
In honour of #BowelCancerAwareness Month, we would like to shine the light on some of the research focused on improving treatments and care for bowel cancer patients. Read about bowel cancer studies happening in Wales: healthandcareresearchwales.org/withoutresearc… #ResearchSavesLives

Faecal immunochemical testing (FIT) in symptomatic patients: what are we missing?
Objective Faecal immunochemical test (FIT) shows promise as a non-invasive triage test for colorectal cancer (CRC) in the symptomatic population. The aim of this study was to assess the use of FIT...

FOR DEBATE Colonoscopy at a crossroads – Which direction to take in the UK after the coronavirus pandemic? doi.org/10.1111/codi.1…
Cancer pick up rate on 2WW <5%. We need to shift use of colonoscopy resource to screening over symptomatic in UK. FIT is a useful tool but not the whole answer. I’m curious how other countries are addressing this post #covid? @ACPGBI @escp_tweets
No debate yet on this highly important topic? How many patients are going down the 2-week urgent referral route per year in the UK? Must be quite many, mustn’t it? Any statistics?

Early cancer diagnosis matters! @ProfJonEmery, @fmw22 and colleagues @PCUCambridge just published the @CanTest_PC Framework in #BMCCancer helps to test low prevalence populations @BMC_series
The new @CanTest_PC framework improves #earlydiagnosis of #cancer #primarycare. @ProfJonEmery talks about how the framework identifies three major issues. Read the article here bit.ly/2XOxzrG

Pan-London phenomenon (probably pan-UK). Number of lower GI 2WW referrals doubled from 2014 to 2017. Cancer detection up, but at cost of many more negative Ix. FIT will help reduce unnecessary Ix. @RMPartnersNHS @muti192 @nicefitteam
