Met with Republic of Korea @FMChoTaeyul. We discussed bilateral issues such as the DPRK and Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. The Alliance is a linchpin for peace and prosperity for the Indo-Pacific.
Four years ago, I traveled to Seoul for my first overseas trip as Secretary of State. For my last trip, I’ve returned to Seoul to underscore the deep commitment the United States has to our relationship with the Republic of Korea.
No matter the PM, our relationship endures!
In the past four years, we’ve worked to develop the U.S.-Japan relationship into a true global partnership. Today, Japan’s Prime Minister Shigeru and I spoke about how our countries will now be able to build on that foundation to advance progress for our people and the world.
