Ever seen a ocean sunfish? They are known as one of the heaviest bony fishes in the world, reaching up to 2,205 lb. These odd swimming fish belong to order Tetraodontiformis, including filefishes and pufferfishes. We had the pleasure of seeing one April 2019 in the GoM! #molamola
It's #SpookySeason! Check out this whale fall found last year in @MBNMS. When a whale dies at sea, its body sinks to the seafloor and begins to decompose where scavengers consume the whale. If that doesn't put you in a spooky mood, we don't know what will! #EarthIsBlue
