We're looking forward to welcoming Matthew Biggs, panellist on BBC's Gardener's Question Time and author of 15 gardening books, to our meeting on Thursday 9th May, 8.00 pm at the Memorial Hall. Do come along for a fascinating talk on "Wonders of the Botanical World".
Lovely sunny morning planting snowdrops, primroses and foxgloves at Pheasant Hill. Thanks to those who turned out to help and @CStGilesPC for funding. Also got closer look at fritillaries and daffs planted in the Autumn. Sadly other bulbs under water by the river.
Lovely morning spent planting 1500 bulbs, wild daffodils and fritillaries in Pheasant Hill and Riverside Walk. Thanks to those who turned out to help. Also thanks to the two beaver colonies who planted crocus and snowdrops earlier in the week and to Yaldens for the violas.
How lovely to return from hols to walk in the Autumn sunshine through a newly mown Silsdens Meadow, it looked so magnificent! Hope this is a sign of things to come.

We’ve done our @savebutterflies count and will be doing more before 6Aug. Great way to spend 15 mins, enjoying nature in our garden and helping scientists understand the effects of #ClimateChange. Why not join in? It’s a free and a fun thing to do with children.
The Memorial Gardens in Old Amersham are a sight to behold, beautiful creative planting showing what can be achieved with the right mindset, community involvement and a strong group of volunteers. Well done @AmershamTC and all involved - shining example to all

Chalfont St Giles village has won the Pushman Cup in the Best Kept Village Competition. This is a great accolade for the village and is a credit to the Parish Council and all the volunteer organisations that help to keep the village in award winning condition.
