S. BALIK: Further development and support of United Student Body (USB) can help students understand how their peers differ from them

Audience Q: Besides racial diversity, how can you address disability vs. able-bodiedness, as well as religious and gender-based diversity?

S. BALIK: #Cornell has taken a lot of steps to help survivors of sexual assault, but SA should help educate on why reporting is important

T. TALBOT: @CornellSA can advocate for #sexualassault survivors by putting pressure on #Cornell to remain accountable

Q from @CU_Forensics member Christine Yu '14: How can SA make sure that university pressure doesn't undermine reporting of sexual assault?

T. TALBOT: You should vote for me because we need someone who has worked at the grassroots level, not someone established in the @CornellSA

S. BALIK: T. TALBOT has never attended a @CornellSA exec meeting

S. BALIK: Vote for me over T. TALBOT because I have 3 years of experience working with and pushing against the administration

S. BALIK: Students come to @Cornell because they believe in green causes; were fighting to see how #divestment would affect budget for years

T. TALBOT: @CornellSA should fund student orgs moving forward on a micro-level, like Take Back the Tap

Final Q of @CornellSA Pres. debate: How can you motivate students to care more about #divestment and #sustainability?

T.T: We need to make sure there are liaisons that are working these groups. This way the assembly can be proactive not reactive.

S. BALIK: More check-ins with VP Finance, incl. quarterly presentations of a byline budget in the interim year, would prevent late apps

S. BALIK: Fundamentally unfair to give some organizations breaks over others. If a deadline is missed, they shouldn't qualify for funding

T.T: We can give $18 to Slope Day but no money for MGLC? That is wrong.

S. BALIK: @CornellSA dispenses funding every two years, and should work with orgs in the interim year to prevent missed deadlines

S. BALIK: Every group -- including MGLC -- has to meet the deadlines, because the SA is responsible for $6.5M and has to dispense it fairly.

T.T: there is no conditional metric and rules are is too rigid. If there are tough situations, we should be gracious!

Question to T.T: You have been an advocate for ALANA and MGLC. Vp Block disagreed. Explain your stance.

T.T: Education and accountability should be done by the SA, that can be done by working with the judicial commission.
