Yesterday, we welcomed @VP Kamala Harris to St. Cloud, MN to tour New Flyer’s plant where CWA members manufacture electric buses! VP Harris highlighted how the Administration’s investments in electric vehicles are creating good-paying, union jobs.
Electric buses mean cleaner air and a healthier future for all. They also mean jobs. In the last 6 months, we’ve created more than 100,000 clean energy jobs by investing in climate solutions like the electric buses I toured today in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
With a union, workers at the St. Cloud facility successfully secured a contract that included fair wage increases, 401(k) matching, paid maternity leave, hazard pay for those who worked during the COVID shutdown, reduced mandatory overtime and more.
Today, CWA Local 7304 members are excited to welcome @VP Kamala Harris to St. Cloud, MN to show her our New Flyer facility and talk with her about the importance of our work manufacturing electric vehicles!
