Excellent first day @ Jefferson ES. It was great to see all the children again. We had our first monarch butterfly emerge today. I believe it is a sign of a good year ahead.
We found a monarch butterfly chrysalis attached to the inside of the front school doors. How cool is this!?! We’ll need to protect this little gem for the next 4-6 weeks. Looks like we’ll be having a monarch watch for the start of school.
Congratulations to Matt, Sean, and Johnny for winning Jefferson’s Geography Bee. These gentlemen will represent us in the district-wide Bee on Wednesday evening. Go get ‘me, boys!!!

Cultural assembly on Chinese dancing. Jefferson kids loved it.
