Average prairie canola yield relative to spring wheat. From about 1990 to 2011, canola yield was gaining relative to wheat- driven by improved weed control, hybrid vigour, & the elimination of early maturing, lower yielding B.rapa, which was about 30% of canola acres
For those who are interested, the average canola-wheat yield difference has been widening in favour of wheat for quite some time.
