My lovely mum died and I told myself I needed to hold it together until her funeral. Get to that day, then fall apart. 2 days ago, I found myself staring at her coffin. Expecting to absolutely fall apart as scheduled. But I just sat there. Numb. Grief is a funny old thing.

2 things I love about my daughter right now. 1) she shouts "a bit sick" as we board the metro, which clears us space. She's actually demanding a biscuit. 2) She then shouts "Mummy, asseyez-vous" (she's very polite), which usually guilt trips someone into offering me a seat.
Would strongly endorse this approach to EU events too.
We should run a competition for best panel chair at Labour Party Conference. Chairs get 1 point for interrupting a speaker who's waffling, 1 if they get speakers to disagree, and 2 for a direct challenge (e.g. "But why?", "Wouldn't that mean x..?" or just "What you on about?")
