I would encourage everyone who can to watch David Attenborough: A Life On Our Planet. It's an excellent film on how we're affecting our planet, and how we help prevent and even fix a lot of the damage we're doing.
You can now set the default name for new branches in git. It was only recently I was looking at a way to script this, so I'm happy we've now got it built-in. github.blog/2020-07-27-hig…

Thank you @codelandconf for all the amazing talks so far today. All of them have been really insightful, and there's so many more left!
I've been experimenting with the IMF structure that Nick Milo has designed for @obsdmd. It seems to be the structure that seems to follow my thought process quite nicely. I just need to work out the best way to take media notes using this structure.
I've recently started trialing the use of @obsdmd to take notes, using Dropbox to sync them between various machines. I'm really liking what it's capable of. I just need to find a scalable structure of using it that will easily allow me to find notes on specific topics.
I've been using Dark Sky for years now. The news that the Apple buyout means the discontinuing of the Android app has me pretty sad. Does anyone have any good alternatives that compare in accuracy? blog.darksky.net
We had an unfortunate fire drill during our presentation, but did you know - @TapMapTech could help with seeing the statistics of who’s actually tapped into the office today! Just one of the many uses of our solution! Slowly but surely we will get back into the office #TechCh2019

Really liking these icons. There's some I could see myself definitely using in future projects.
Seems it has full support for Javascript frameworks as well.
Just discovered Bridge.NET which allows you to compile C# to Javascript. Definitely going to give it a go.

There's a lot of chatter about the release of Typescript 2.0. I've yet to try Typescript, maybe I should.
I'm a little concerned about #YoutubeHeroes. I can see what they're trying to do, but giving people the ability to mass flag is worrying.

I've been having some fun messing around with Jekyll recently. It'll be interesting to compare it against other static site generators.
Had to work at one during college. It does give you a perceptive on how horrible and nice people can be.
