Unpopular opinion: traditional therapy is woefully ill-equipped to actually address the needs of disabled people. I remember a psychologist saying that my anxiety was my mind making up people staring at me and I had to tell her not only were they staring they come up to ask

Dear .@ChoiceHotels, Please stop claiming your hotels are accessible to disabled people when they’re not. I’m a wheelchair user and I booked a non-refundable stay at Comfort Inn—Downtown/DC Convention Center. This is the ableism I encountered at the entrance.
